Raison D'etre   Opening theme that seems appropriate for this anime.
Guilty Sky   End theme that is also nice.

ELFEN LIED

I've recently gotten involved in this wonderful anime. The music is just as wonderful.

Lilium: opening version   The beautiful opening theme of the anime.
Lilium: saint version   A more haunting version of the above song.
Be Your Girl   The upbeat ending theme of the anime.

FULL METAL ALCHEMIST

This anime is a great series, with music to match. Here are some of my favorites below.

Unerasable Sin   The full ending theme of the anime.
Unerasable Sin, version 2   The FMA game OST version of the above song.
Taboo   A tragic instrumental song. I love it.
Gouyoku(Greed)   The theme song of my favorite FMA character.
Brothers   A beautiful song that plays during a trying time for the two protagonists of the anime.
Dante   A song so tragic, the singer uses no words. A great song.
Melissa   The first opening theme of the anime.
Ready Steady Go   The familiar FMA opening song.

HELLSING

Despite the complaints of fans of the manga, the first version of this series in anime form was good in its own right. Part of the reason for this was its wonderful music. Here are a few samples from the soundtracks for this series.

World Without Logos   The great opening theme of the anime.
When You Start the War, Fight With Arrows, Spears, and Swords   A wonderful song played during a showdown between two of the rivals in the anime.
Tsumihoroboshi Shinpushi   A song playing during a trying time for one of the main characters.
Shi-kuretto Karuma Serenade   A beautiful song that plays during the last scene of the anime.

GHOST IN THE SHELL: STAND ALONE COMPLEX

The soundtracks to this anime were composed by the wonderful Yoko Kanno, so it's no wonder that the songs from this series quickly became some of my favorites.

Season One

Inner Universe   Opening theme of season one. A definite favorite.
Lithium Flower   Ending theme of season one.
Be Human   From the "Be Human" Tachikoma album.
Velveteen   A song from the first OST. I think that it's a beautiful song, so I included it.

Season Two

Rise   Opening theme of season two. Such a great song.
Living Inside the Shell   Ending theme of season two.
I Can't Be Cool   Nice song that plays as Motoko drops from a building and disappears. Cool scene.
We Can't Be Cool   Great Instrumental song, that's a bit different from the above song.

MELODY OF OBLIVION

This anime is very intriguing as well as entertaining. I thoroughly enjoyed the music from it as well.

Will   The energetic opening theme.
The Spirit of Framenco   This plays during the confrontation between two of my favorite characters.
Kurasata   The Monster Union Agent theme song.

MNEMOSYNE

This OVA series had some great music associated with it.

Alsatia   The jrock opening theme song.
Cause Disarray   The ending theme of the OVA.

NOEIN

This is an underrated anime that is truly fascinating. Some of the music for this show is as engaging as the series itself is.

Shangri-La   Eeriely wonderful theme of the character Noein & his realm.
Shangri-La Futatabi   Another take on the above song that is heard when Noein's minions appear.
Shangri-La Kumikyoku   A different dark interpretation of the original song.

REVOLUTIONARY GIRL UTENA

I can't say enough about how this is an all-time great anime. It operates on so many levels. We find ourselves being driven down that dark highway toward the unknown, but we love it. The anime utilizes music not only to entertain, but to illustrate the inner workings of the tale. Here are just a few samples of the numerous songs from this great series.

Rinbu Revolution   The full opening theme of the anime. It's so light-hearted.
Virtual Star   The full second ending theme of the anime.
Absolute Destiny Apocalypse   This is the third version of the tune played before the duels in the anime. It's my favorite version.
Magic Lantern Butterfly Moth   One of the best songs that marks one of the greatest duels in the whole anime.
No One Has Anything to Tell   A wonderful song for a pivotal duel in the anime.
Missing Link   A song for a tragic time after the last duel has played out.

SAMURAI CHAMPLOO

A truly delightful series from the man who brought the world "Cowboy Bebop." The music is just as good.

Battlecry   The up-beat opening theme.
Shiki no Uta   The R&B end theme.
You   Another lovely song from the series.

SERIAL EXPERIMENTS LAIN

A fascinating yet disturbing anime with a wonderful opening theme.

Duvet   Opening theme of the anime.

SIMOUN

This was a thought-provoking yuri anime (with het & a side of shounen-ai as well) that had lovely music:

Utsukushikereba Sore de Ii   The opening song of the anime.
Inori no Uta   Simoun's ending theme.

SUKISYO

An adorable shonen-ai anime that is based on a much racier boy's love game. The music is quite compelling.

Just a Survivor   Opening theme of the anime.
Daydreamin'   Ending theme of Sukisyo-one of my favorites.

TOKYO BABYLON

A great anime inspired by the manga of the same name by Clamp (Make sure you watch the sub!) The opening song is too cute!

Strawberry Kiss Kiss   Opening theme of the anime.

WELCOME TO THE NHK

Odoru Akachan Ningen   The ending theme of the anime that I just adore.
Puzzle   Opening theme of the anime.

YAMI NO MATSUEI

One of the best anime I've seen. A great adaptation of the manga about a haunted Guardian of Death. It has an equally great opening song.

Eden   The opening theme of the anime.
